Future Abode

Every couple is dreaming of their own house and i have to admit that i am one of them but since my husband was the youngest and the only boy, its a decision on both part that were going to stay at my in-laws house.  I was scared at first because what i heard from others is that its so hard to live with in-laws but i proved them wrong because i was thankful and happy that i have the kind, generous and lovable parents-in-law. For almost 12 years of being with my husband, i never felt that i was taken for granted and they also treated me as one of their own.

Last month, i learned that my parents-in-law decided to renovate the house. From the 200++ square meter house and lot, they decided to divide it to three and build a house for each of their children. It means that we are going to have our own house. *Yey*

I asked my civil engineer cousin and he told me that if a 200+ square meter will be divided into three, say its 250 sq. mtr divide to 3, each of us will be having a 83 sq. meter house and lot. Wow, its not that small because according to them, those developer that are selling townhouses has a lot of at least 50-60 sq. mtrs only. I am so happy with the news. I can design my own house, invest on furnitures etc.. the only problem is i dont know how to cook.

As i was looking on the net,  a 70 square meter lot area can have a 3 bedrooms.. I am so excited while i was looking at the designs of the house. No wonder our present house has a 5 bedrooms, ngaun ko lang nalaman na malaki pla yung lot area nmen.

I tried looking at Camella site and i want to share what i found:

This Amethyst design house and lot from Camella has a floor area of 50. sq. mtr and a lot area of 76 sq. meters.

Now that the decision has been made, we need to look for an apartment or house for rent that we can live in for the meantime. I dont know how long will it take to build the house, whats important is we are going to have our own house.

Hubby and I started to look for a house to be our home in the next few months. We want to rent a house or an apartment within the vicinity only because were thinking of our daughter who goes to school everyday.

Do you know any house for rent? I prefer a 1 or 2 bedroom only. I think its enough for the 3 of us plus a maid.

New ice craze: Ice Scramble

Just arrived from SM Southmall.

Tami and i together with Ate Ta went to Southmall to withdrew money, rode some of the kiddie rides and i let her play at the ground floor. Then eat at Jollibee.

When its time to go home, we saw a snake line at this stall. Pinoy Ice scramble and i remember that i love to eat this street food during my high school years. We fall in line so we could buy and try this new craze.

They only serve 2 sizes.

8oz. P10.00
12oz. P12.00

Extra toppings: P3.00 per toppings.

Since im a fan of this ice craze, i ordered the big one (12 oz) with extra milk toppings.

Verdict: Yeah its delicious but i still love the ice scramble before.

Segafredo Zanetti Espresso at The Fort

Last friday, when its time to go home from work, the rain pours so hard that we got stranded outside our office building. We decided to sip a coffee from Segafredo which is located at the ground floor of our office building.

Segafredo Zanetti offers Espresso and its my first time to try it. Im a coffee lover and i heart Starbucks but its time to try some coffee from other store.

Inside the coffee shop, its very interesting that you'll see this wall full of place where Segafredo has an outlet and the word Manila (in red bold letters) indicate that the shop where i am is located in Manila. Cool isn't it?

Like Starbucks, they also offer some pastries.

My order: 2 shots of Cappuccino Espresso.

And Brazo de Mercedes.

My cousin only had the Chocolate Frapp since she's not a coffee drinker.

All in all, i love the coffee here and i love the place. Will try some pastries next time.

New Find: Cacao

When i went to MOA to meet my client for the Pearl jewelry, i decided to look for the candy stall somewhere in MOA. I missed eating chocolate coated raisin candy, i just dont remember the name because it was my officemate who always bought it in Market Market. And when im near the SM cinema, i saw this Cacao stall selling sweets.

This cacao stall is selling chocolates, pralines, belgian chocolates etc.

And i found what i want!

Pralines and belgian chocolates...

I bought a 100 grams of chocolate coated raisin and priced at P86.00 (because it was more than a hundred grams)..

Its like the one that my officemate bought in Market Market, its just that its not from Cacao stall.. But im now loving Cacao goods. Definitely will be back there soon :)

The Kebab Factory in Burgos Circle, The Fort

Before we left for Hongkong (ooopppssss sorry for the super delayed post), i treated some of my teammates to Kebab Factory located in Burgos Circle, Bonifacio Global City during our lunch time. It is supposed to be in Mozu but when we get there, its full of diners so we changed plan and went to burgos circle where we find the Kebab factory.

Kebab Factory is an Indian/Mediterranean cuisine. Mediterranean cuisine is not new to my palate since Shawarma introduced here. It became one of our favorite afternoon snack. But with Indian cuisine, i was just familiar with some of the names, thanks to Cafe World of Facebook that i got to know some of the names like Tikka Masala, Chicken Tikka, Tandoori etc. hehe

When we enter the place, the ground floor is almost full and the staff accompanied us to second floor which i like the most because it is more private and spacious, i also love their couch.

Table for 4 please...

Garlic and Spicy Sauce which is very tasteful in every dish..

Here's a peek of what we had:

Calamansi Juice (70.00)

I ordered calamansi juice, soda and iced tea for my colleagues.

I forgot about the name of this appetizer, i think it is new in the menu. Fries with chicken strips...

It was an instant favorite for all of us especially when dipped in Garlic sauce.

Beef Kebab (P225.00)

One of my new fave dish in Kebab factory. I love it when dipped in Garlic sauce paired with Basmati rice.

Chicken Mast Kebab (P250.00)

Pieces of chicken cut into small portions and marinated well. Very juicy and tender. Also one of the must-have.

Basmati Rice (P85.00)

Beef Keema (P250.00)

When we ordered this, the waiter asked us if we want it hot or not. i was thinking of hot but im not aware that what he's referring is the hot spicy and when i tried it, i feel like im eating ground beef with minced chili.. Its good though, its just that im not into spicy foods... hehe

Chicken Tikka (P250.00)

Like chicken mast, its also flavorful, very tender.

HK Trip: Shopping at Hongkong Grand Sale 2010

My main reason  that i chose July as the date to go to Hongkong is because of the Grand Sale. HK Grand Sale happens during July to September and i want to experience their celebration. As we go by in each outlet and shop, we saw a red tag sign saying "SALE". As much as we want to go in each shop, we waited until our last day to go to Harbour City, one of the biggest mall in HK offering branded and high-end goods.

Citygate Outlet is one of those mall that you can buy cheap goods because as the name implies, its all outlet store. Upon going back from Lantau island, we dropped by at Citygate outlet mall because hubbys cousin requested for a Nike gym bag, hubby also look for shoes but he never liked the designs there. Instead, we bought this Nike travelling bag and the Red Nike gym bag that his cousin requested. Compare to Manila, the cost is really cheap.

Nike bag

Of course, we had to buy something from Disneyland, im not a fan of Disneyland thats why i did not bought something for myself. I let Tami and hubby choose what they want. And this is what they've got.

Aside from the Disney Sunglasses that Tami bought and lost also inside the park, she also get this Minnie stuff toy, Hubby chose the Disneyland jacket and the magnetic picture frame, he knows that im collecting magnet from the place i've been to.

On our last day, since our flight is at 8pm, we went to Harbour city the whole day to shop. Before leaving the hotel, we planned of separating in the mall so we can look for what we want. While walking going to Harbour city mall, Hubby and i talked about buying shoes for ourselves, perfume etc...

What we got first is perfumes. Hubby got CK be because its unisex, so we can share the same and he also got the Davidoff. We got each at 30% off.

Hubby bought Nike shoes at Nike Store, its not as cheap as compare to Citygate outlet because in Kowloon and in Nike store there, the designs are all new that's why we got it at 10% discount only. His shoes cost HK$ 549. Should i considered it a best buy? I dont think so.

Across the Nike store is the high-end brands that has its own building like LV, Gucci, Chanel, Prada.. name it and its there...

Those high-end brands are not sale. We bought this Gucci bag because its cheaper of more than 5k from manila. We even asked the attendant about the rate of the price if we pay it in US dollar, HK dollar or credit card and pay it here in peso. After computing the price, we ended up paying in US dollar because its less cheaper. Price is US $1,150.

After buying the Gucci bag, we cross the road to H&M store.

While inside, hubby waited outside because he want to smoke. Tami found something for herself. The sanrio tumbler and this mini cute bag with the dog design.

Sanrio tumbler at HK $29, i allowed my daughter to buy this because she can use it in school and the bag is 50% off, we got it at HK $50 only. When we left the hotel going to airport, tami knows how to wear her handbag and what's inside the bag is the PSP only. She just want to use her new bag.

While inside the Harbour city mall and drooling for some branded goods, i saw this cute flats from Sta. Barbara Polo Racquet Club (RL) at 50% off.

My new flats, Would you believe that i got it for only HK $999? And i think its really for me because its the only big size left... Best buy dba?

After we bought something for ourselves, we look for pasalubong to relatives, colleagues etc. Sometimes its so hard to choose of what you're going to give because you dont know what they want and if they will appreciate what you give.

We bought this Starbucks tumbler because aside from the magnets that im collecting, we decided to add this as our new collection. Collecting display for our soon new house? haha...

I thought of this purses as my pasalubong to my colleagues in the office but when it fits the jewelry that we're selling, we decided to use it as jewelry pouch. I still give purse to those who want it, afterall 2 dozens will not be consumed in less than 2 to 3 months. Price of this is HK$50 per dozen.

For the oldies (relatives, tami's teacher, hubby's sup hehe) we bought this metal thing with Hongkong design, its double purpose, for display or you can use it as personal ashtray.. HK $59 each.

This chinese delicacies will not escape my shopping list. I personally went at Aji Ichiban to buy these goods: Chan Mui Pui or what i called champoy. Some did not like it but i love this candy. Aji ichiban is one of the famous store for sweets and delicacies. You just need to grab a plastic, get how many you want and put it in the weighing scale to get the grams and pay the corresponding price.

Flavored caramel candy also in Aji Ichiban..

When we go back from Macau, we dropped by at Esprit outlet near the gateway mall to buy some shirts for hubby, my brothers and uncles. We bought a total of 12pcs Esprit shirts, oh i also bought Esprit small sling bag for me because its also sale...

Hubbys wearing one of the Esprit shirt that we bought when we got back from our Macau trip and he also wore his new Nike shoes. Naks naman...

When we started packing our things in preparation for our flight going back home, we leave some of the box from the things that we bought in the hotel. We also use some of our new stuff so the immigration wont look in our baggage.

Oh did i mention that we all bought Almond cookies in Macau, we hand-carry those in the airport going back to Manila. Each plastic consists of 5 boxes, since were a group of 8, its not really obvious that we hoard those goods in Macau..hehe

I love HK and i love shopping!

With this post, you now have the idea of what to buy for your pasalubong when you go to Macau and Hongkong.
