Trick or Treat-ing for Tami

Halloween is just around the corner and its easier for all the kids to attend any trick or treat parties, just wear your scariest costume and voila, you'll get tons of goodies, prizes etc...

This time, PLDT will hold a trick or treat party for the kids in Makati, since my cousin (kuya bing) is one of the Operations Manager of PLDT call center, he ask me if he can bring tami to his company, i did not think twice because i want tami to experience this event.

My daughter is really excited with this event, i let her try the costume that she's going to wear on the event and here it is:

Snow white costume

I took some photos and she keeps on posing to the camera...

Before i end this, let me greet the trick or treat-ers a
Happy Halloween!!!

Nestle's fruit selection yogurt - Strawberry flavor

We all know that eating yogurt is a healthy choice. Everytime i do grocery, yogurt will never escape my list because we should always have some in our fridge because my daughter loves to eat yogurt.

Now that my daughter is sick, she cannot eat solid food and she's pointing at her neck, maybe because of her tonsils that's why she feels hard to swallow her food intake. As a worried mom, im thinking of a healthy alternative and i think of yogurt.

Since tami love the strawberry flavor of Nestle's selection fruit yogurt but this time i put some mashed banana into it so even if she dont eat rice, i make sure that she get some vitamins from fruits.

It also cheaper now, Nestle slashed the price of this yogurt months ago, from P 32.00, it's now P25.00. cheap isn't it?

Talk about diaper: Mamy Poko

When my daughter was born, I only use diapers. From then on, I always look for quality diapers because my daughter skin is so sensitive. I tried lots of brand like Pampers, Drypers, EQ and the last is the Mamy Poko.

Mamy Poko i think is the most expensive brand in the market. Over the years, its proven that Mamy Poko is good enough when it comes to quality because it is the only brand that my baby weren't allergic. It's also reigns supreme when it comes to absorbency which is also excellent for overnight use.

Mamy Poko also has a limited distribution. I only buy MamyPoko at Makro because they offer in huge packaging of 66 pcs per pack so every time diapers in Makro is on sale, I tend to hoard the MamyPoko. But if Mamy Poko is out of stock, i choose the drypers instead of Pampers for everyday use. Yes it is affordable but the quality is not that good.

You may also want to try Fitti or PetPet, it's also manufactured by Mamy Poko company, same quality but cheaper compared to Mamy Poko.

Now, my daughter is three years old and still using Mamy Poko for overnight. The diaper still lasts up to 12 hours. Well contain, no leakage and she's comfortable using it.

Anyway, im just giving my review for Mamy Poko, its too late for me because my baby is now a toddler and she's now toilet-trained! But if you're having a new born baby, why not shell-out few more bucks because if you go on a cheaper brand, your baby will be uncomfortable and some got allergies..

OMG!!!

Few hours ago, I hear my daughter say the word "SHIT" while playing Super Mario 3 in PSP.

Oh no! she hear it with her dad when hubby's playing computer games...

Too Bad!

Dinner Date at Outback Steakhouse

Friday was our 4th Wedding Anniversary and Saturday was marked as hubby's 28th birthday. We chose to spend it quietly together and since we both have worked on friday and saturday, we planned it Saturday dinner at Alabang Town Center and this time at Outback Steakhouse.

Upon entering the place, we request for a table for 2 and i love the ambience of Outback Alabang, it was a little dark, and it was a good thing when it's just the two of you. Everything was clean and also i wasn't bothered with others conversation because we were busy chatting.

When our server was introduced, he was smiling all the time and i think we had the nicest waiter and he's name is Ross, he was approachable. After we ordered, he bring us the bread and butter which is free to all Outback diners.

and the Pumpkin Soup

After a couple of minutes of chatting, our orders were served...

This is hubby's order, tuscan tenderloin and he requested to cooked it medium rare. When i tried his tenderloin, it is very tender and i think its awesome in a good day.

I ordered the Spicy Seafood Linguini. This linguini is topped with a combination of prawns, oysters, squid and sun-dried tomatoes in a spicy sauce. The serving is really huge, hubby eat some of my pasta because who can really finish that whole bowl of pasta?

We also had the Seared Ahi Tuna but i can't find the picture.

bottomless iced tea..

me and hubby after eating the main dish...

When it's time for hubby to blow the candle, our server Ross, bring in something for free, hubby said its like the mudpie at TOSH and he was excited to pigout at the dessert. Outback gave it to hubby for free since it's his birthday. I think it's the choco-choco cookie in their menu. It is warm, soft, chocolate cookie topped with Vanilla Ice cream with chocolate sauce which hubby loved the most.

hubby blowing the candle..

choco choco cookie

All i can say with the food is they are all perfectly cooked, both were excellent. The tenderloin was very good. Anyway, Outback is alright if you have some money to burn because it's really pricey! As Outback says, "No worries" because they serve good food.

It was really wonderful to spend time with hubby alone since we don't get time to spend a lot together due to our work schedules.

Happy Anniversary and Happy Birthday Be!

ESSE Lights Super Slim Cigar

My team-mate give me this packs of cigarettes but she dont know that i stopped smoking more than years ago.

I did not noticed that it is manufactured from Korea. I just gave it to hubby and when he try to smoke, he said that its lighter from some cigar that he's using, perfect for the ladies and he did not allow me to taste it...Im good girl now. hehe. I still believe in the slogan that "Cigarettes is still dangerous to your health" and as you can see on the pack of this cigar, it says "Smoking kills".. True enough.

If you're asking why I allow my hubby to smoke? Well, he's trying to quit now... and i hope he does...

Country style doughnuts

Almost every morning, when i dont eat breakfast at home, I always drop by the country style just to buy some doughnuts to satisfy my sweet tooth. I love their flavors and my fave is the Choco walnut. I am stickler of glazed doughnuts in krispy kremes but when i started to like the country style, i'd go for anything chocolate in their menu.

Sad to say, i haven't tried their coffee yet because we have a free coffee in the office, but maybe next time i will give it a try.

different flavors of country style doughnuts

The thing i love about this place is its very near to our office in Bonifacio Global City and more often than not, you will see the regular customers chatting around the corner with their coffee and their doughnuts. I highly recommend their doughnuts. For me its perfect!

The Old Spaghetti House, SM Center

The Old Spaghetti House
SM Center, Las Piñas

Hubby and I love eating in some restaurants maybe because Im not good when it comes to cooking. We chose to dine at The Old Spaghetti House. Somehow, eating at the The Old Spaghetti House (TOSH) gives you the feeling of being in a home. The ambiance is very cozy and homey and the important things is they serve really good food.

sorry the pic is blurred, i used my hubby's celfone

Since we're hungry already, we ordered Bavarian Sausage with Alfredo Fettucine, U.S Beef Salpicao and fruit shakes for both of us. For the dessert, I ordered their Mudpie but i ask them to serve it after we finish our main dish.

While we waited for our food, hubby and I talk a lot about our work, people we know, colleagues in the office, about our friends and also people in the restaurant. hehe...We also listen to the music. Oh, when we went there at Sm Center, there's an event and their guest is MYMP and since TOSH is next to the event center, we have a greater view of whose on the stage. MYMP sings 5 of their songs.

After a few minutes of talking, our food arrived and we settled down to pig-out  while we continued talking at the same time. Here are some of the pics:

Bavarian Sausage with Alfredo Fettucine - P165.00

The creaminess is just right. I's a big no-no for me if my pasta lacks in sauce and i want my fettucine with lots of  Parmesan cheese. The sausage is also yummy, i love the tenderness of the sausage.

U.S. Beef Salpicao - P175.00

Hubby didn't like the Salpicao so much. He commented that it's like eating pares. I don't know what it is either. But he still manage to finish his meal.

Mudpie - P110.00

It's like eating cake and ice cream at the same time. Hubby love it so much. He said that he can finish 2 mudpies alone. For me, i like it but not too much because it's too sweet...

hubby and me....

After we fnished our meals, we asked the waitress for the bill and while waiting we still talk and listen to the event. After we settled the bill, we realized it was getting late so we decided to leave. So far, we liked their pasta and deserts. Maybe we can try their pizzas next time.

Tto Louie's Birthday

Saturday. Oct. 10, 2009

It was Tto Louie's birthday and they decided to prepare dinner for our relatives, instead of going out in some restaurants, they held it in their house so aside from dinner, we still have time to talk (chismisan in other words) haha. At about 6pm, i asked hubby to prepare so we can go ahead to Sta. Cecilia where the dinner is. It's not really a party because only relatives are there and some of tto louie's officemates, maybe they invited some of their neighbors.

We are the first relative to arrive in my aunt's house and i took some pics so i can share it in this blog.

These are the food: Veggie salad, Lechon, Cordon Bleu, Kaldereta, Prawns, All kinds of Maki, Lasagna, Buko Salad, Macaroni Salad and Fresh Lumpia...

the lechon na ulo lang..hehe

Party tray of Maki's ordered from Kitaro Sushi - this proves that our family loves Japanese food. This tray is full of maki, i just took this pic after the dinner that's why the tray has some space but it's full of different kinds of Maki like California maki, tamago sushi (my fave), ebi sushi, futomaki etc...

For the kids, they prepare marshmallows and different kinds of fruits like melon, strawberry, grapes, mango, banana cut into pieces so they can dip it to chocolate fondue.

Tami enjoys and really love staying in this station and she loves eating strawberry, me and hubby also like it specially when dipped to chocolate and the chocolate is really yummy, it's like hershey's.

i love it!

After taking some pics, i decided to eat because im so hungry na.. In this picture is me with Ate Dalyn.

Hubby and cousin are talking about online games.

my cousins and hubby after eating, super kwentuhan na...

I took this pic at around 10pm, hubby fell asleep maybe because he was in front of the computer from morning till afternoon playing games and he holds my bag tightly...hehe..

New stuff - Longchamp bag and Zara sandals

Since my 13th month pay was released last Oct. 2, 2009. I was thinking of buying a gift to myself for the year 2008. And i was thinking of several brands that i don't have and i also ask hubby if its ok to him if i buy a new bag and a new footwear.

What i got is a Le Pliage from Longchamp and Zara sandals. Sorry i dont have real pics from my new stuff because im here in the office right now, maybe later i'll post the pics here.

my new Le Pliage Longchamp in lime color...

I'll post my Zara sandals later when im home.

Takoyaki

When i heard that Takoyaki was available in our cafeteria (7th flr), i searched the internet about it. According to Wikipedia, it is a popular Japanese dumpling made of batter, diced or whole baby octopus, tempura scraps, pickled ginger and green onion topped with okonomiyaki sauce, mayonnaise and katsuobushi.

I am a certified Japanese food lover, everytime we had our lunch break, we did not pass a day without buying takoyaki balls.

These are the takoyaki balls still in the pan, you can order it for:
3pcs = P25.00
 5pcs = P35.00
 or 8 pcs for P85.00

This is my 3 pcs takoyaki balls, served hot with lots of mayonnaise and tonkatsu sauce.

They also sell some California maki but i haven't tried their maki yet, maybe next time.

If you're not a fan of Japanese food, then you should not try the takoyaki balls because im sure you will not like it.

Crepes and Creams, Mall of Asia

I've been wanting to write about Crepes and Creams since we've been there so many times already. I remember when i went to MOA before and drop by this food outlet, there was a long line outside so I was thinking it was good. Curious that i am, I decided to give it a try.

Since that is the first time i order their product and when i looked at the menu, there was so many flavors to choose from, their best-sellers are the Caribbean Cruise, Hazelnut Banana Chocolate. I asked the lady in the counter what are the ice cream flavors and shoot! there is an avocado flavor which i loved the most.

When our family went to MOA last week, after eating lunch i told them to have desserts at Crepes and Cream coz i miss eating crepes.

my family

For my nth time here, i still order avocado ice cream on crepe..

It tastes pretty good. Aside from the crepes at Cafe Breton, this brand of food was added to my crepes list. If you love crepes with thick texture, then this is not the place to go. Their crepes are the exact texture that i want you can also add fruit toppings.. Pistachio flavored ice cream is really good also but i still want avocado flavor. For me it is very filling and i love that it has a lot of fruits in it. Alhough a bit messy once you dig into it.. LOL..

Facebook games

Social networking nowadays are still on the top when we're talking of world wide web. Millions of users are now into it. Example is Friendster, Multiply, Webs and My Space. Facebook is the latest and  its just more than meeting with old friends, colleagues and relatives abroad. It has also many applications and games which you can play if you're bored and its completely free. So if you have boring days, why no try some facebook games.

To name a few that you will surely enjoy are Farmville, Poker, Pet Society, Restaurant City etc.. Im not the type of person that will stay in front of the computer for so long, surely i'd rather stay in the mall walking for hours than sit in front of the computer. Now that Im busy blogging, and sometimes chat with friends and relatives abroad, i am introduced to facebook games and i chose to play Poker because its the one im playing in real life with friends and hubby. Then i also tried the Pet Society and im enjoying it. Hubby's really into it also. He's the one who encourage me to try games. When im in front of the computer, im only chatting with friends and relatives abroad, surfing the net about fashion and blogging only.

Hubby's telling me that he's playing Restaurant City. Parang hindi kami magkasama sa house at sa facebook pa kami nag-usap, and yes we're on different pc's..hehe

When it comes to facebook, hubby's more addicted to it. I also enjoy facebook and now that im into it, i dont have time to check my friendster account anymore, hope my friends in friendster transfer to facebook so we can play together. But im still updating my Multiply account because im using it to keep all our pictures. I just used facebook for games and chatting with friends...

Now that im busy blogging because i earn some $$$ with Google Adsense, i have lots of photos that i need to upload but i don't have extra time to upload, sorry guys...but i'll keep you updated when we're chatting.. Facebook rocks!

Vending Machine

Thank God that flood here in Manila is starting to subside and now that Pres. Gloria Arroyo states that companies should start releasing 13th month pay so that it can help those affected of calamity. Our company release our 13th month pay last friday (Oct. 2) and part of my promise to save or at least make "tipid", my 13th month pay was deposited to my account and during this "tipid" times, i have to include my signature coffee habit (Starbucks, Seattles Best, UCC) unless it is a treat. I have to be practical for my family and some sacrifices have to be made.

Good thing our office has those vending machine that serves different kinds of coffee, juice and sodas and it's absolutely for free.

the vendo machine that serves hot and cold drinks

the cold drinks

the hot drinks...i was wondering why eight o' clock is serving hot orange juice drink..whatever!

I was thinking if vending machine is a good business or not... what do you think?
